How to calculate price per gram
Price per gram = total price ÷ weight in grams.
Enter the package price and its weight, then divide the price by the number of grams. For example, a package priced at 35 for 500 g costs 0.07 per gram (35 ÷ 500 = 0.07). A second package priced at 60 for 1 kg costs 0.06 per gram (60 ÷ 1,000 = 0.06). These example figures only explain the calculation; they are not market prices.
Gram, kilogram, pound and ounce conversions
Use the same mass units or convert each package to grams before comparing. The calculator uses standard mass conversion factors; it does not round an ounce to a package-size convention.
